McCrain's
in Middle Earth
A travel dialogue of our adventures
in New Zealand
In February 2004, Jim and Kathy McCrain
began a five month oddessy in New Zealand. Kathy was transferred to
Auckland for a temporary work assignment, and Jim followed her for moral
support. (Isn't he just the greatest husband?) What follows is Jim's
account of this adventure.
Final
Thoughts
July 31, 2004
This morning, Kathy and I will leave New Zealand, our
home for the past five months. We have experienced it all, and yet just
barely scratched the surface. We will miss this wonderful country and
all of its incredible sights, sounds, smells, and experiences. We have
made many new friends that we will surely miss, and visited so many
wondrous places that will remain in our memories for the rest of our
lives.
Thanks to Dorreen,
Judy, Gerald, and Warren for making this trip possible!
Aotearoa!
“Land of the long white cloud.”
It is like a new and unknown world. I cannot believe that we were given
the opportunity to experience it.
"Haere ra!"
Goodbye!
