In February 2004, Jim and Kathy McCrain began a five month oddessy in New Zealand. Kathy was transferred to Auckland for a temporary work assignment, and Jim followed her for moral support. (Isn't he just the greatest husband?) What follows is Jim's account of this adventure.

That's Right!
She's Lucy Lawless!
Of course, she is better known as
"Xena: The Warrior Princess"

For those of you who are wondering, I didn't just "meet" Lucy at some publicity stunt. Instead, I arranged to do an interview with her for a special project I am working on. We spent about 30 minutes together. Lucy is a very "easy going" person, and I felt extremely comfortable interviewing her. It was a very fun afternoon!
And NO, I did NOT ask her to do a "Xena War Cry" for me!
